Official Contest Rules

The “Find Hank” Durham 2026-2027 contest (the “Contest”) begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time on May 26, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on May 31, 2027(the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Contest Period are void. The Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest.

The Contest is sponsored by Hinchey Homes Real Estate Team, brokered by eXp Realty, Brokerage, 152 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, Ontario L1G 4S6(the “Sponsor”). Shawn Hinchey, Broker. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform, search engine, or video platform on which it may be promoted.

The Contest is open only to individuals who, as of the date of entry, (a) are legal residents of the Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario, Canada, including the municipalities of Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge, and Whitby; and (b) have reached the age of majority (18 years of age) in the Province of Ontario.

The following persons are NOT eligible to enter: the Sponsor’s brokers, agents, employees, contractors, and representatives; the brokerage of record and its personnel involved in the administration of the Contest; and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) of, and any persons domiciled with, any of the foregoing. Eligibility is subject to verification. The Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of identity, age, and Durham Region residency in a form acceptable to the Sponsor.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. There are two ways to begin an entry during the Contest Period:

(a) Sign: scan a QR code on a Hinchey Homes physical sign anywhere in Durham Region.

(b) Listing video: find the stuffed Hank mascot hidden in any Hinchey Homes listing video published during the Contest Period and complete the upload step on that listing page.

Both methods direct you to the official entry form at hincheyhomes.com/find-hank. To submit a valid entry, an eligible entrant must complete and submit the official online entry form including all required fields: full legal name, Durham Region mailing address (street, municipality, and postal code), email address, and telephone number, and must check the required eligibility and rules acknowledgement boxes.

Entries must be fully completed to be eligible. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, late, misdirected, or non-compliant entries are void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Entries generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means, and entries using false, multiple, or fraudulent identities or contact information, are void and may result in disqualification.

Limit one (1) entry per person for the entire Contest Period, regardless of the method of entry. If more than one entry is received from the same person (as determined by name, email address, telephone number, or address), only the first valid entry received will be retained and all subsequent entries will be disqualified.

There is one (1) prize available to be won, consisting of $5,000.00 CADin cash, awarded by cheque or electronic transfer to the confirmed winner (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value of the Prize is $5,000.00 CAD. The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable, or convertible (except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value). No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the Prize not expressly described herein.

The odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

One (1) entrant will be selected by a random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. The draw will take place during the first week of June 2027at or near the Sponsor’s offices in Oshawa, Ontario. The entrant whose entry is selected is not yet a winner unless and until that entrant’s eligibility has been verified and that entrant has satisfied all conditions of these Official Rules, including correctly answering the skill-testing question described in Section 9.

The selected entrant will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number provided at the time of entry, within five (5) business days of the draw. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without mechanical or other aid, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered at the time of notification.

The selected entrant may also be required to sign and return, within the time specified by the Sponsor, a declaration of compliance, eligibility, and liability/publicity release. If a selected entrant cannot be reached after reasonable attempts within ten (10) business days of the first attempt, fails the skill-testing question, fails to return any required documents within the required time, is found to be ineligible, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, that entrant will be disqualified and forfeit all rights to the Prize, and the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select an alternate entrant by random draw from among the remaining eligible entries.

By entering, and as a condition of being declared a winner, each entrant agrees that the Sponsor may use the winner’s name, municipality of residence, voice, statements relating to the Contest, and photograph or other likeness for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, without further notice, compensation, or consideration, except where prohibited by law.

By entering, each entrant agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor, the brokerage of record, and their respective brokers, agents, employees, contractors, representatives, successors, and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs, injuries, and liabilities of any kind arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, or undelivered entries; technical, hardware, software, telecommunications, network, or Internet failures; or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission.

Personal information collected from entrants is collected, used, and disclosed by the Sponsor solely for the purpose of administering the Contest, verifying eligibility, contacting and announcing the winner, and, only where an entrant has separately and expressly consented, for marketing communications. The Sponsor will retain entry data for 90days after the end of the Contest Period and will then securely destroy it, except as required to be retained by law. The Sponsor does not sell entrants’ personal information and will not share it except as necessary to administer the Contest or as required by law. The Sponsor’s collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by its Privacy Policy, available at hincheyhomes.com/privacy. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations. By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to any required regulatory approval, to cancel, suspend, terminate, or amend the Contest, in whole or in part, if any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical failure of any kind.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law. These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be struck and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

For the name of the winner, available after the draw, send a self-addressed stamped envelope, or an email request, to the Sponsor at the address or email set out in Section 15 within ninety (90) days following the end of the Contest Period.
