The task everyone dreads, made finite

Executors consistently name the contents clear-out as the hardest part of settling an estate, and not because it is technically difficult. It is forty years of a life in physical form, and every drawer asks a small decision of someone who is grieving. The way through is to make it finite: a phased plan with an order of operations, real dates and outside hands for the parts that do not need family eyes.
