Reason 01
There is no rear neighbour. The yard ends at a brand-new 2025 cedar fence, and on the other side of that fence is a wooded ravine. Birdsong in the morning, deep green for half the year, snow on bare branches the other half. A covered gazebo sits on the back deck so you get the view without the bugs, and the rest of the yard is fully fenced for kids and dogs. Ravine lots in Eastdale almost never come up under $750K. This one did.

Reason 02
The whole kitchen was rebuilt in 2023. Deep teal shaker cabinetry, full quartz counters, a stone backsplash that runs the full wall, undermount sink, stainless appliances, and an island the family can actually gather around. The pendants over the island throw warm light at dinner; the under-cabinet lighting handles the prep work. It is the most expensive thing every other comparable home is going to need to do. Here it is already done.

Reason 03
The main floor opens into a bright open-concept living and dining room beside the kitchen, big enough to hold the whole family for a holiday meal. Down half a flight there is a second family room with a working gas fireplace, dark hardwood-look floors, crown moulding, and french doors that walk out to the back deck. One floor for guests and Sunday dinners. Another floor for movie nights with the fire on. The teenager has a place to be. So do you.

Reason 04
195 sq ft of primary bedroom on the upper level, big enough for a king bed, two nightstands, a long dresser and the chair you swore you would never buy and use every day. A wall of built-in wardrobe doors handles storage without eating floor space. The 4-piece bathroom is a few steps away. Two more bedrooms across the upper and lower levels, plus a bonus room downstairs for an office or a guest crash pad.

Reason 05
Eastdale CVI is a few blocks away. The Civic Recreation Complex pool, gym and arena are seven minutes by foot. Highway 401 is six minutes by car, the Oshawa GO is ten, and you can be at Costco or the Oshawa Centre in five. This is the quiet established pocket of east Oshawa where neighbours actually know each other and the dogs walk themselves around the loop.

“Open from the front door to the back fence, and the back fence is the ravine.”
Property Tour
The hardest thing to find at this price in Eastdale is a fully updated 4-level backsplit on a ravine lot. This one delivers all three. The 2023 kitchen rebuild is the kind of thing that costs another buyer twenty thousand dollars and a lost summer in their first year, here it is already done with quartz and a real island. The lower family room with the gas fireplace and the walkout to the deck is the room the family will actually live in. The yard is fully fenced with a brand-new cedar back line, and the back fence is the ravine. If you are looking for a turnkey family home in a quiet established pocket of Oshawa with no rear neighbours, book a showing before the weekend.

Eastdale is the established east-end neighbourhood centred on Eastdale CVI and the Civic Recreation Complex. It is the quiet middle-Oshawa pocket buyers point to when they want a real backyard, a real school catchment, and walkable amenities without the price ceiling of north Oshawa or the apartment density of downtown. Annandale St runs along the eastern edge of the neighbourhood with a treed ravine on the back fence line. Highway 401 is six minutes south, the GO is ten, and Lake Ontario is at Lakeview Park another few minutes beyond.
